Sunday School: On Sunday mornings, Sunday School classes are offered during the 9:00 AM hour in the Education Building.
Preschool/Nursery Care: Also on Sunday mornings, from 9:00 AM until the end of the worship service at 12:00 Noon, we have classes for preschoolers in the Education Building, and we have a Nursery in our Administration Building that allows you to drop off your baby or toddler and attend a Bible Study class or the Worship Service.
At Northwest, we provide many opportunities for our students in grades 7-12 to connect with God, connect with each other, and to grow in their faith. New or visiting students are welcome to participate in any of the programs we offer.
Northwest strives to help people experience a personal relationship with God. We believe that people experience God in worship, grow in their faith through Small Groups, and respond to this life-changing experience in service to others in Jesus’ name. For our Adults, we offer multiple Small Groups, both on Sunday morning and during the week in host homes around the Milwaukee area. We also have a Men’s Ministry and a Women’s Ministry, both of which offer events throughout the year, such as the Men’s Retreat, Women’s Retreat, Prayer Breakfasts, Ladies’ Tea & Bible Study, and more.
While the name Senior Adult may remind some of a reality they would rather not think about, at Northwest we celebrate how God provides extraordinary gifts and potential at any age in a life surrendered to our Lord Jesus Christ. We have developed a ministry to and through Senior Adults. We vary greatly in age, energy level, and interest, but unity with diversity is the banner we wave!
Reading 4 Success
Literacy Tutoring in partnership with
Ralph Waldo Emerson School
Reading 4 Success is a literacy tutoring program in partnership with Ralph Waldo Emerson Elementary School in Milwaukee. We offer tutoring at Emerson throughout the school week, and tutoring at Northwest on Wednesday evenings during the school year. If you are interested in impacting the life of a child in our neighborhood through literacy tutoring, consider becoming a tutor in Reading 4 Success! No previous experience is required; We will equip you to help a child succeed.
Blanket of Love
Northwest Baptist Church is a Blanket of Love partner site. This ministry provides prenatal and parenting education for young women, their spouses, and friends or families. The ministry also creates a community of support through a welcoming meal, an educational presentation, and time for sharing with members of the group.
Blanket of Love participants receive education and tips on prenatal care and strategies to improve the health of the mother and the baby. The ministry connects participants to other resources that can help lower stress, support wellness and eliminate the two most preventable causes of infant death in Milwaukee: premature births and unsafe sleeping environments.
Blanket of Love is supported and planned by the Ascension Hospital System and meets once a month at churches in the Milwaukee area.
For a list of upcoming Blanket of Love gatherings and events, check out our flyer below. You can also register for our next gathering/event using the link below.
Do you enjoy talking to people in our community? Are you open to talking about matters of faith? If so, the Prayer Ministry could be a great fit for you! On Tuesday evenings from 6:00-7:00 PM, July 18-August 17 we will walk the neighborhoods around the church and pray with and for people and our community. At the same time as the prayer walks, we will also have a Drive-thru prayer set up at the church for people to stop and be prayed with. If interested in participating in this ministry, come on out on Tuesday evenings and/or contact Bonnie Lee at 414-463-3630 x601.
A Mission of Freeing Spirits
The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound.
Northwest Baptist Church has partnered with AS Ministries (Angie Saccaro) to provide love, compassion, fellowship, prayer, praise and worship, Bible, Bible studies, and Christian books to men and women currently incarcerated.
We also support staff at the various facilities we serve through prayer and care packages. Through our weekly visits, God has blessed everyone involved greatly.
